Never Blow Out Your Air Filters
Blowing out air filters can and will cause some unwanted serious damaged to your engine! Whether you are running a line trimmer or commercial riding lawn mower.Compressed air will enlarge the pores of the air filter allowing larger dirts particles to pass through causing premature engine failure. This will happen faster especially on mowers that are operated in dusty conditions The best thing to do is replace old filters and wash out pre filters according to the engines owners manual.
Washing Your Lawn Mower
Washing a lawn mower to keep it clean can cause some unwanted problems.High pressure washers have been known to cause bearing failures, electrical problems and rust and corrision. Here are some things that happen when consistant washing is done.
One customers transmission would not shift,we found water in his gearbox that caused his transmission to rust,he used a pressure washer to clean off every time he finished.
One washed his mower every time he was done, it starterd rusting the body parts.I think drying off the unit and an occasionl waxing would help prevent that
We recomend blowing off your mower when done, occasional washing is ok as long as you dry it off and apply a coat of wax.Letting water stay on your unit will cause problems!!
